Need Outlook-like Contacts Program
I have decided NOT to buy Office again. I have downloaded OpenOffice.org package instead, but it doesn't have an Outlook replacement.
The reason I want a similar program is the Notes. Thats where I keep all the account info, log-ins and passwords for everyone in my family for everything from utilities to guru.
It doesn't have to be free, just less than the $100 for 2007 Outlook.

Thanks Calista, I'll check it out.
@Age - Outlook Express is only email, doesn't have the Notes function.

@Age, you haven't seen my desk. That's why I keep it all in the computer.
@Calista - I've downloaded Thunderbird latest version along with an add-on that does Notes. I'll let you know how it goes.

I think Age means: notepad, the basic text editing software on windows, and desktop, the windows desktop.
I use outlook, but I've tried Thundbird, it's pretty solid and from a reputable company. With extensions, you should be able to have the same funcionality as outlook.

Just to let everyone know - I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird w/Thundernotes add-on.
It's working very well. Thanks again, Calista
Sorry if I misunderstood about notepad/desktop, but I don't think I want passwords and login info that visible on my hard drive or for other's to view at will.
